In 1976 Ledcameroch was sold for £74,000 to Ambion Homes Scotland Ltd. The purchase price excluded the north lodge but included the stable block which, along with some of the wooded slopes on the western boundary, was sold in 1977 for £12,360. A plan showing the altered boundaries is included in the Maps section of this website. The house was demolished in 1977 and the following year the first homes in Ledcameroch Park were occupied.
During the 1980s Ambion Homes Scotland Ltd changed its name three times including to Alfred McAlpine Homes Scotland Ltd and to Egerton Homes Strathclyde Ltd. The company went into receivership in 1991.
